In "The Outdoor Girls Around The Campfire", the four friends—Betty, Mollie, Grace, and Amy—go on another adventure, this time to the mountains. They are excited to explore and camp in the great outdoors, but soon learn about a local legend of the "Old Maid of the Mountains," a woman who was supposedly left at the altar and now haunts the woods. The girls have a fun time hiking and swimming, but strange things start to happen around their campsite. They hear strange noises at night and find their belongings moved around. They begin to suspect that someone is trying to scare them away. One night, they are caught in a dangerous storm and take shelter in a nearby cabin. There, they meet a young woman named Hazel who is living alone in the woods. She tells them that she is the granddaughter of the "Old Maid" and is trying to protect the area from a logging company that wants to cut down the trees. The girls decide to help Hazel and her cause and soon find themselves in the middle of a dangerous fight against the loggers. With quick thinking and bravery, they are able to save the forest and help Hazel reunite with her long-lost love.
