Kitt was once called the "most exciting woman in the world." She went on to become a singer and dancer in the 1950s, and her suggestive and sensual performances caught the public's attention. Her ex-boyfriend Charles Revson, the billionaire founder of Revlon cosmetics, even came up with a lipstick for her. He called it Fire and Ice.

It was in the 1960s when she became the first black woman to have mainstream success on TV in the United States. She even broke racial taboos by flirting with Adam West, who played Batman, on the show. She made the role of Catwoman her own.

"Santa Baby" is one of Eartha Kitt's best-known songs, and it is still a favorite today.
