Attempting to recapture their normal lives, Crusaders Enforcer and The Universal venture out in their civilian identities for a night on the town. Their moment of rest is interrupted when a meteor crashes down to Earth. The two speed off to investigate only to find that the crash was not a meteor at all, rather a spaceship bearing an alien who seems to have powers very similar to that of The Universal. The stranger informs the duo they have been summoned to the source of not just their extraordinary powers but all life in the Universe. Upon reaching this mystical realm known as Life Itself, Enforcer is placed on trial for dereliction of duty and is forced to relive some of the most painful moments of his life. Standing before the All-Tribunal, Enforcer and The Universal must prove he is falsely accused of the accusations. For if Enforcer should be found guilty of abusing the powers of Life Itself, the price he must pay would be his very life.
