Léo l'éolienne et la tempête is the French editon of Spinner the Winner, a picture book for children aged 5-11, written by former BBC journalist Mike Ormsby. It helps parents to introduce and explain renewable energy in a fun way. Spinner is a young wind turbine; separated from his family, he develops a noisy squeak and is vandalized by angry local people. But when a nasty storm plunges their town into blackout, he saves the day and becomes their hero.

A tale of triumph over adversity, this is eco-tainment for a young family. Three large utility providers (CEZ, GDF Suez, and the Romanian Wind Energy Association) have published licensed translations of this book in Spanish, Serbian, and Romanian, for use in their corporate social outreach activities.
