This sneaky memoir celebrates the campiness and nostalgia of some of the more infamous (some might say underappreciated) sequels of the eighties and nineties, with brand-new interviews with cast and creative team members, while at the same time emphatically conveying the restorative power these films had on the author's traumatic — sometimes even dangerous — upbringing.
In the late eighties and early nineties, while other kids were playing softball, Emily was sporting a Pink Ladies jacket, perfecting Michelle Pfeiffer's "Cool Rider" choreography from Grease 2, and wearing out the VHS player.
