Staff knowledge is key to a successful 'Virtual Branch'

OverDrive provides ongoing training to cover every aspect of your download library. Our training specialists will answer all your questions and provide information, demonstrations, and tips and tricks to help you get started. We'll help your staff feel comfortable promoting the collection and offering assistance to patrons. All of this translates into increased circulation for your library's 'Virtual Branch'!

OverDrive provides courses via web conferencing and in-person training. We can also arrange for your training class to be recorded for future use.

Guided Tours

Learn how to use your library card to check out, download, and enjoy digital titles at your own pace, anytime, anywhere. Each Guided Tour is a series of short topics covering all the latest how-to's for popular OverDrive services. Guided Tours also make terrific study guides to supplement OverDrive instructor-led training. All you need to begin is a Windows-based computer with Internet access.

OverDrive Download Station
Description

Learn how patrons can download audiobooks and music to their portable player when they visit the library!
OverDrive Download Station is software that enables a public Internet station to also serve as a self-service download kiosk. Patrons can bring a portable device to the library, and walk out with a best-selling audiobook or music CD transferred to their compatible device. OverDrive Download Station creates additional visibility for your download collection, and as a result provides many benefits as a training, public service, and promotional tool. This class will help prepare public service staff to demonstrate OverDrive Download Station and answer basic questions from patrons.
