Community Reserve

Share digital media between libraries

Library to Library sharing
OverDrive Community Reserve is a digital resource sharing service within the Digital Library Reserve platform that enables participating libraries to manage and share download audiobooks, eBooks, music, and video in supported formats. Use it to distribute locally produced, non-commercial content and share digital materials across OverDrive's library network at no added cost. You can immediately increase the value of your collection as well as the circulation by adding titles from Community Reserve.

How it Works; Upload and Access
Using Community Reserve is easy and does not require extra training. To add content, you can use the same upload process as for the current "Manage Local Collection" but now you can also select "share with Community Reserve."

OverDrive allots each library an amount of hosting, storage, and bandwidth for your local collection and provides reporting tools, protection, and usability. You can add content from Community Reserve just like you add any other material to your OverDrive digital collection.

Hundreds of Available Titles
The titles you see in Community Reserve are the valuable titles that libraries like yours have made available to share. These may include local historical documents, educational materials, entertaining videos, or anything libraries may feel will benefit their patrons. Titles can be added to your collection and start circulating immediately with just a few clicks. This is a perfect answer to libraries looking for digital solutions for sharing local media.
